KNOX CO., Ind. (WTHI) - A residence in Knox Co. is being called a total loss after a fire completely engulfed the home.

Knox County Dispatch received a call about the house fire about around 4:00 p.m.  The home was located near Freelandville, Ind., near Cox Rd.

Firefighters and rescue crews made many attempts to reach the residence; however, ran into road troubles when emergency crew vehicles were getting stuck in snow drifts.

Even Knox County snow plow trucks became stuck, trying to clear a way to the residence.

By the time crews arrived on the scene, much of the home was already destroyed.

According to scanner traffic, all occupants made it safely away from the fire.

News 10 will bring you the latest information as it is made available.
