Kids to hold Christmas concert

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - The Terre Haute Children’s Choir is hosting their 20th Annual Christmas Concert.

A total of 75 kids ranging from ages 6-14 years old are taking part in the event.

Officials say taking part in the choir helps the children far beyond the world of music.

“Making music exercises more of the brain than any other activity we’ve been able to try, and it’s kind of if you don’t use it, you lose it. The more active the brain is, the better it functions,” Jim Slutz, President of the Terre Haute Children’s Choir board said.

The concert is taking place Wednesday, December 5th at 6:30pm at the Central Presbyterian Church in Terre Haute.

The event is free to the public, but contributions will be accepted.
