PERU, Ind. (WTHI) - They're often called man's best friend but they also serve and protect.
Police K9s are real officers, who track down criminals, even help in drug busts.
Every year police K9s and their handlers show off their extensive training in a national competition.
News 10's Amanda Jarrett traveled to Peru, Indiana where the annual K9 Olympics are honoring a fallen friend.
