TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - It may only be February, but graduation is right around the corner for college seniors; and today, many got the chance to meet potential employers.
Indiana State University hosted a career opportunity fair.
One hundred and eighteen companies showed up to meet students.
Officials say the number of companies is up from last year, which reflects the current job market.
"It's a very encouraging sign," said Darby Scism from Indiana State, "this is a great number, and a really nice mixture of non-profits and for-profits, government agencies as well, a lot of law enforcement; so it's great news."
Many of the companies were looking for entry level positions, which is also a good sign for students.
