ISU gives loving family a new home

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Thanks to the combined efforts of Indiana State University and Habitat for Humanity, one lucky Wabash Valley family had one of their dreams come true.

Indiana State University sponsored the building of a home for Arica Burskey and her three children, which was completed on Sunday.

Construction began last July,and through hard work and fundraising the Burskey family finally received the keys to their new home.

Arica says it's a dream come true to have a brand-new, cost-effective, and most importantly, safe home.

“I would just tell people, don’t give up, don’t be discouraged, that dreams can come true. It can happen for you, just work hard and stay with it,” said Arica.
