TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - It’s a nocturnal animal, meaning you can only catch it at night, and many people got their first, first-hand look at it with a little help from mammal experts.
Indiana State University hosted the annual Indiana Bat Festival on their campus this afternoon, and outdoors at Dobbs Park Saturday night.
All attendees learned about different kinds of Indiana bats, saw live demonstrations and even viewed the bats in their natural habitat.
It was all in an effort to educate children about these otherwise mysterious nocturnal creatures.
