Illinois has announced it has another $100 million in unclaimed property.
That brings the total to over $1.5 billion.
This property includes stocks, unclaimed safe-deposit boxes, and even abandoned bank accounts.
When an owner cannot be found for these items, they are turned over to the treasurer's office.
