TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - The economy and the looming fiscal cliff didn't stop many people from getting out and getting a first crack at Christmas shopping.
There were hundreds of people at Toys R Us at 8:00 P.M. Thursday night. It was one of a few stores to open that early. Walmart and Sears were others.
News 10 talked to a few of the hardcore shoppers to see what exactly was worth the wait.
They had it all written down.
"I'm getting the Mickey Mouse disco thing. I got a list. I really can't remember everything," said Melody Jones.
The first people in line had been waiting since before 3:00 P.M. Thursday afternoon.
