TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - The community was invited to Indiana State University Saturday morning to ring in the holiday spirit while lending a helping hand.
The ISU Sparkette Dance Team along with A+ All Star Productions School of the Dance hosted the 7th annual holiday performance to benefit the 14th and Chestnut Community Center.
The price of admission was a new, unwrapped toy, canned food item or a monetary donation.
These donations will be given to Vigo County families in need.
"What I found out a few years ago is the Christmas that they provide for some of these children will be the only Christmas that they get, so it's time to open up pockets, hearts feel good, makes us feel better, and it does a lot of good for the community," ISU Dance Coach and A+ All Star Productions School of the Dance Owner Tammy Schaffer said.
If you didn't make it to the performance, you can still donate to the 14th and Chestnut Community Center:
You may contact them at (812) 232-3126, or call Tammy Schaffer at (812) 237-4040.
