Gyms: good place for germs

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - One hospital's fitness center is taking a proactive approach to the flu scare.

The Union Hospital Fitness Center takes sickness very seriously. Its staff is constantly cleaning equipment.

And now staff members are taking extra precaution with the influenza scare.

Gym staffers have wipes and sanitizer for their clients. But the staff does ask for clients to be respectful of others.

"If you’re feeling ill, if you’re feeling a little under the weather, we ask that you stay home until you’re feeling better. Cause all it takes is one person to infect an entire place,” said Rayetta Gillaspy, manager.
