TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Two local organizations teamed up to help one Terre Haute woman get around.
Service Action Network of RSVP and Newman Co., Inc. built a wheelchair ramp for a woman with Multiple Sclerosis.
It is just one of several ramps they are building for a project called "Ramp It Up", to help those who cannot afford to construct a ramp.
Volunteers from both organizations got together to build the ramp, completing it all in one day.
"It just is unbelievable the amount of personal satisfaction you get when you're able to help someone like this," RSVP Volunteer Patty Jones said.
"Ramp It Up" is funded by Janet Sue's Helping Hand fund and the Wabash Valley Community Foundation.
