GREEN CO., Ind. (WTHI) - An Indiana county is experiencing multiple power outages due to the winter storm affecting the area.

Western Indiana Energy Rural Electric Membership Corporation (WIN Energy REMC) reported 200 customers are without power near the hamlet Newark in North Eastern Green County.

WIN Energy REMC is working to get the problems fixed; however, due to the snow, it’s a slow more difficult process.

Also, in Linton, it was reported about six inches of snow.

The Greene County Sheriff reports many problems with motorists due to road conditions, and they also recommend that you stay inside unless you absolutely have to be outside.

Some Greene County roads remained closed until further notice.
