TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Folks lined up early Saturday morning to stock up on food for the holidays.

With the help of several local food drives, including News 10's Share Your Thanksgiving, Catholic Charities was able to help even more families in need.

Over 150 people visited the food bank Saturday.

Each collected about 50 pounds of food. That's enough to last them 30 meals.

"Not only this time of year but during the holidays, is to give something back to the community that also has blessed us through the many food drives, donations that they constantly give us here at Catholic Charities," Catholic Charities Food Bank Program Director Tom Kuhl said.

WTHI's annual Share Your Thanksgiving helped Catholic Charities collect over 40,000 pounds of donations.

The public is welcome to come to the food bank every third Saturday of the month for food assistance.
