VINCENNES, Ind. (WTHI) - - Due to the recent storms that hit the Wabash Valley, a few state roads in southern Indiana have been closed due to flooding and cold weather.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, the closures will remain in effect until waters recede and the weather begins to clear up.
The following sections of roadway have either been closed, or INDOT is advising motorists to use caution around these areas of high water:
Greene County
Knox and Daviess Counties
Martin and Lawrence Counties
Perry County
If you have to encounter a flooded roadway, INDOT suggests that you find an alternate route. High standing water could cause your vehicle to stall, and could cause you to be stranded.
If you get stuck on a flooded roadway, don't hesitate to call for assistance.
