TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - The Terre Haute Fire Department (THFD) spent part of their day, Thursday, wrapping some extra Christmas presents.
The THFD donated around $7,500 in gifts for 170 children this year.
The department wrapped and dropped off their donations at the 14th and Chestnut Community Center and the St. Ann’s Clinic.
This is the 6th consecutive year gathering presents for the kids.
Firefighters said if there is one thing they enjoy doing, is giving a gift to a child for the holidays.
“If we can see them and put a smile on their face, it just makes our day”, said Firefighter Don Seprodi
The THFD took collections to keep up this with this year’s tradition, and hope to continue it for years to come.
