FONTANET, Ind. (WTHI) - The fire trucks have returned for a Wabash Valley township that has been without local fire coverage for more than a week.
The fire trucks were moved by trustee Carl Gregory last Monday as remodeling work was underway on the community center portion of the fire station. This turned into a battle between the firefighters and Gregory.
After a long meeting earlier this week, Gregory agreed to bring the trucks back while the remodeling work continues. Gregory declined to go on camera but said as soon as the firefighters check out their equipment, the trucks are ready to go.
