Fire quickly doused at local landfill

PIMENTO, Ind. (WTHI) - Firefighters fought a blaze late Saturday night in southern Vigo County at an unlikely location.

It's breaking news we brought you first during News 10 Nightwatch.

The fire started in the Sycamore Ridge Landfill just before 11:00 p.m. Saturday night.

The landfill is off Cottom Dr. in Pimento.

Several Fire and Rescue units were called to the scene to help contain the fire.

No injures were reported.
