Fire damages apartments on Terre Haute's eastside

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Terre Haute Firefighters and Emergency Medical Responders responded to a call of a structure fire on Terre Haute’s eastside.

Crews arrived to the scene of apartment building on fire.

The apartment home recently adapted into an apartment building on Home Ave., just off of Wabash Ave. around 3:30 p.m.

According to Firefighters, one person was home at the time of the fire; however, that person escape without any injuries.

Firefighters also said high winds made the fire grow quickly.

Fire crews are still at the scene, and will follow up with an investigation into the cause of the fire.
