VINCENNES, Ind. (WTHI) - Vincennes City Fire and Emergency crews responded to a 911 call of a fire at a self-storage facility around 3:30 a.m. on S. 15th St. in Vincennes, IN.

According to Captain Tony Jarrell of the Vincennes City Fire Department (VCFD), initial responders arrived on scene at A-1 Self Storage on S. 15th St., where one of the buildings was approximately 30 percent engulfed in flames.

Multiple VC Firefighters were called to the scene, and were forced to breach every storage bay to douse the flames.

The fire damaged all 32 storage bays.

VC Firefighters were able to bring the flames under control after a little over an hour and a half.

There were no injuries reported on the incident.

All customers, who had stored possessions within the storage bays, will be contacted to assess the damage and total loss of property.

According to Captain Jarrell, the initial investigation revealed that the fire is suspicious in nature, due to the fact that there is neither gas, nor electricity going into the structure.

The Indiana State Fire Marshal's Office has been contacted to continue the investigation.

News 10 will have more information for you as it becomes available.
