TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A busy weekend in Terre Haute for diesel truck enthusiasts meant a busy weekend for police.
Indiana State excise police report issuing 178 tickets during this weekend's Scheid Diesel Extravaganza at the Vigo County Fairgrounds.
Police say most of the charges this year were for illegal possession or consumption of alcohol.
They also issued a number of traffic tickets, most for excessive exhaust and seat belt violations.
There were 65 arrests during the weekend event. That's down from 129 arrests last year.
