CLINTON, Ind. (WTHI) - Neighbors in Clinton received some great news Tuesday.
Federal officials announced they will pay $800 thousand to fix Feather Creek. For more than 70 years, the area suffered from major flooding issues.
Mary Buffo has lived in that area for more than 40 years. She said she has been fighting to see changes come to the creek most of that time.
She said she was absolutely thrilled to hear money would be coming from the Army Corp. of engineers to fix the issue.
"We'd been waiting so long. Maybe it won't happen in my lifetime, but it's going to happen now anyway," Buffo said.
