VIGO CO., Ind. (WTHI) - Indiana farmers battling drought conditions can find out how to minimize their losses.
Weeks of extreme heat and dry weather have pounded Indiana farm crops.
Federal Officials said 71 percent of Indiana's corn crop is in 'poor' to 'very poor' condition.
The drought is expected to last until October.
This week Purdue Ag experts will meet with farmers in Vigo County.
They'll be at the Vigo County Fairgrounds Thursday.
The meeting will talk about insurance, and livestock feeding.
It starts at 11:00 AM and will last until 1:00 PM.
