Family loses weight thanks to system

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - An Indiana family said they beat the battle of the bulge thanks to a special system.

Husband and wife Matt and Anette Jeffers of Bloomington said they lost nearly 300 pounds in just 90 days.

It started with a national competition called the VISALUS challenge.

The couple and their two children had to go on a program where they drank a special shake everyday.

In the end, Matt lost a total of 65 pounds.. and Annette lost 95 pounds. When it was all said and done, they were announced the grand champions out of thousands of entrants nationwide.

Their children also lost significant weight.

For their prize the Jeffers received a cruise to Mexico and will be part of a national advertising campaign for VI-SALUS.

However, they said the best reward is better health.
