Early Morning Fire destroys Vincennes House

VINCENNES, Ind. (WTHI) - At approximately 1:30 a.m. this morning, a fire broke out in a house located at 804 N. 4th St. in Vincennes.

The Vincennes Fire Department arrived to smoke billowing from the attic area.  Fire Fighters battled the blaze through the morning hours.

The house was totally destroyed. 

Fortunately for local Fire Fighters, the house was unoccupied, so there were no injuries reported.

According to the Vincennes Fire Dept. the house was abandoned, and no utilities were currently in use.

The Fire Marshal is scheduled to be at the fire scene today to determine the cause of the fire. 

News 10 will have more information as it becomes available.
