Deer hunting season gathers old friends

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - In true November fashion this weekend kicked off the annual deer hunting season, which made things pretty busy at one local shop.

Pohlman’s Meat Processing in Terre Haute saw a big crowd over the past two days.

Saturday marked the start of deer hunting season, making it legal to shoot deer with a firearm through December 2.

The processing location hosted an open house with deer meat samples for avid hunters, and offered a chance for the Pohlmans to catch up with old friends.

The Department of Natural Resources requires hunters to be fully licensed and to follow the proper laws when hunting.
