TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Two teenagers are seriously injured and another is in police custody after a night of crime.
Police say it all started around 8:00 Monday night.
That's when three black men walked away from the Gibault juvenile residential treatment facility after a battery happened there.
They say the three made their way to Wal-mart on Terre Haute's south side where they tried to take a man's vehicle after beating him.
That man, Aaron Drumm, 29 of Terre Haute, was able to get away and called for help.
Drumm has been released from Regional Hospital after being treated for head and facial injuries.
After the Wal-mart incident, police say the three teenagers continued their night of crime, walking all the way to White Castle.
There they beat up another man, 46 year old Kevin Sherrill of Dugger, Indiana.
Sherrill is being treated for head and face injuries at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute.
Police say they were successful in car-jacking Sherrill's truck.
From there a high speed chase happened and ended when the truck crashed into a pole.
Two of the juveniles were seriously injured in that crash while the other ran from the scene.
Police eventually caught the suspect and placed him into custody.
Police expect the other two teenagers will be taken into police custody once they're released from the hospital.
