TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Two organizations in the Wabash Valley are making sure families in need have a decent meal.

Catholic Charities Food Bank is in desperate need of food.

So Friday afternoon, Terre Haute City Bus Transit and Catholic Charities joined forces and held a food drive, collecting two non-perishable food items in exchange for a free bus ride.

"Here at the Terre Haute City Bus, we see people when they're really down. Really down, really out, and it's a good feeling to know that at least they're not going to be hungry. So, joining up with Catholic Charities today, means a lot to all of us," said Era Nichols of the Terre Haute City Bus Transit.

Donations can be made at Terre Haute transit until 10:00 p.m.
