TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Vigo County Deputies are searching for two suspects after what sheriff's deputies are calling a daytime burglary.

Saturday afternoon a 90-year-old Terre Haute woman was in the basement of her home in the 64th block of North 35th street.

She heard noise upstairs, and when she went to see what it was, she found one white male in a grey hooded sweatshirt holding a large kitchen knife. She fled the home, as did the male suspect.

Just a little while later, a witness told police they saw two white males in their late teens or early twenties walking north through a yard toward the area of the Northwind Apartments. One of the males discarded a Notre Dame sweatshirt. They also said one of the males dropped an item stolen from the woman's home.

An air and ground search in the area is underway for the two suspects.

Any citizens with information on the two suspects should immediately call 911, or CRIMESTOPPERS at (812) 238-7867 (STOP).
