TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - The Noon Optimist Club hosted its 78th annual Clothe-a-Child auction Tuesday night at the VFW in Terre Haute.

Hundreds of people turned out to support the cause

Local businesses donated all of the items, including a signed Pacer ball, bicycles and a giant teddy bear.

The goal is to get clothes for almost 1,000 kids in Vigo County.

News 10 was told that  the event raised at least $25,000 so far.

Organizers say it's not too late to help.

"We've been doing this for 78 years and it's a worthy cause and we help a lot of children. So, we need your help," Noon Optimist Club Member David Jones said.

If you didn't make it to the auction, you can still donate.

Just call (812) 232-0561.
