CLINTON, Ind. (WTHI) - Duke Energy lends a helping hand to the city of Clinton, Ind.
Duke Energy gave Clinton a 15,000 dollar grant for the construction of a park stage roof in Clinton.
The stage is at Sportland Park in Clinton.
City officials said the new roof will make it possible for more concerts and events to be held at the park.
They said it could also help stimulate the economy.
"Duke has really been good to us, not only with the electric all around here. They help us out a lot on that and if we have any problems, we call them," Clinton Mayor Art Lindsay said.
The total cost of the project is 18,000 dollars.
The rest of the money will come from private donations.
