TERRE HAUTE, Ind (WTHI) - - The Terre Haute Police Department is once again inviting residents to apply for their Civilian Police Academy.

This is a ten week course that meets for 2 hours each week in April.

This is a great opportunity for residents of Terre Haute to see what it's like behind the badge to truly learn the ins and outs of being a police officer.

If you're interested in signing up for the academy you need to pick-up an application at the Terre Haute Police Department and fill it out. The application is quick and simple.

The number of students they can take is limited. It's on a first come first serve basis, so you'll want to act quickly.

News 10’s Jaclyn Bevis and Mike Latta took part in the course last time. Click Here to view their experience.
