TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - First Congregational Church is hosting the Service of the Longest Night.
It all happened Friday night.
Organizers say it was a specifically designed service.
It’s for people in the community who are struggling to find joy in the holiday season.
Reverend Dawn Carlson feels the service could be helpful to many people.
“We invite anybody to come, and to know that they are not alone when they’re feeling a sadness and a sorrow at this time of year,” Reverend Carlson says.
The church is located at 630 Ohio Street in Terre Haute.
