TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A member of Charles Raymond Chumley Junior speaks out after authorities in Vigo County identify the body found Sunday afternoon as missing person Charles Raymond Chumley Junior.

Brittney Chumley describes her cousin as loving, caring, and funny.

Brittney and the rest of the family found out Tuesday evening the body found by Police Sunday afternoon was that of Charles Raymond Chumley Junior.

He was just 30-years-old when he went missing nearly 3 months ago. He was last seen on Miami Garden St.where his wife told News 10 she had dropped him off.

That location was just one mile from where police found his body.

Brittney said it's a devastating discovery, but it's a discovery that brings some closure to the family.

"Its been a real rough road," Chumley's cousin Brittney Chumley said. "You drive past woods and you wonder if he's in there, you drive past water you wonder if he's in there."

Brittney said the wonder of where he is, is over but the wonder of what happened to him remains.

So far no one knows what caused Chumley's death and until they do know, Brittney said she'll continue to remember her loving, caring, funny cousin.

"We had a lot of fun times together. A lot of things will be missed," Brittney Chumley said.

Vigo County Coroner Doctor Kohr found no serious or traumatic injuries that he believes would have killed Chumley.

Doctor Kohr is now waiting for the results OF a toxicology report. They should be back in a couple of weeks.
