The Terre Haute Children’s Museum opened its new third floor earlier this summer, complete with several new attractions.
The new floor includes a mock TV studio with a news anchor desk and weather set where kids can learn how television news is made and can try out their own broadcast skills.
Kids can also visit a critter corner with small animals and explore the building trades by checking out part of a house.
Museum officials said the exhibits are meant to keep kids involved.
“Not only can they see, but we strive to give them the opportunity to do as well,” said Jamie McDowell, the museum’s membership and volunteer coordinator. “Not only do they see how the meteorology would be done in front of a green screen, but get up there and get a chance to do it themselves.”
