Child on bike struck by car

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A child was struck by a car while riding his bicycle.

Just after 4:00 p.m. near the intersection of 19 and Tippecanoe Streets in Terre Haute, a young boy riding his bicycle was struck by a green Ford Taurus.

We don't have a lot of details as to why the wreck occurred; however, we do know that neither the driver, nor the child sustained serious injuries from the wreck.

The boy was transported to an area hospital with a possible broken leg.

Emergency responders urge that everyone be more aware of their surrounding
