Charities raise money at ISU game

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Local charities raised money to help victims of Hurricane Sandy on Saturday.
The Red Cross and Catholic Charities teamed up at Indiana State University's Memorial Stadium to raise money for victims of hunger here and on the east coast.
The donations will go to people who are suffering from the effects of Hurricane Sandy.
In exchange for a cash donation, Red Cross offered a ticket to the ISU-Illinois State game.
Organizers said the situation out east is worse than you may think.
“The devastation out east is so much more than what we think it is. So it’s going to be really necessary to provide shelter, food and clothing for the folks that were affected the hardest,” Dale Anderson said.
This afternoon they raised over 2,000 dollars and over 1,800 of food.
