TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - One organization works to bring the family back together.

Chances for Indiana Youth in Terre Haute will offer a Strengthening Families Program: an idea developed by researches at Iowa State University.

It's an opportunity to meet weekly to work on your family dynamic.

The program is geared for parents with kids between the ages of ten and 14, teaching, or re-teaching all to focus on the family as a whole.

"This program is going to allow us to work with the youth and their parents to give them the opportunity to have better communication skills, understanding of rules in the household and simple things.  [For example] are you having a family dinner together," Chances for Indiana Youth Executive Director Brandon Halleck said.

The program is free.

Chances for Indiana Youth will even provide child care.

The organization hopes to start classes February 14.

If you'd like to sign up, call (812) 232-5190.
