TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - The results of the 2010 census could have a big impact on farmers according to Mark Everson, the commissioner of the Indiana Department of Administration, and some local farmers and officials.

They said the census determines how much money agricultural programs will get from the federal government.

"If your allocating money within education, within agriculture, within health, transportation, you're going to look at, how is that money being used? How many people are being served?," Everson said.

The government will give out money depending on how many people in agricultural programs are counted.
