VIGO CO., Ind. (WTHI - One local support organization for impoverished families has announced locations to purchase a Christmas tree and donate to their cause.
Covenant Cooperative Ministries announced locations for their Teen Angel and Little Angel Tree sites.
Hundreds of children in the Wabash Valley live in impoverished homes, and the TALAT program hopes to at least help provide those children with Christmas gifts. These children are represented by Angel Tags located at:
All sites will be available through December 19.
CCM says sponsors, and potential sponsors, are encouraged to select a tag to sponsor a local child in need.
“Many more families have no hope of providing Christmas gifts for their children this year,” said Rose Aycock, founder of the local ministry. “Christmas is a time of giving. And, even though we are all struggling a little, we can still bring joy to a child at Christmas.”
CCM also says several families are requesting Christmas Food Baskets as well, so Family Sponsors are needed as well.
If you would like to sponsor a child and are unable to shop, financial contributions will enable CCM to purchase gifts for the children.
CCM is also accepting donations of new clothing, shoes, toys and gift items.
CCM is located at 122 S. 10 1/2 St., Terre Haute, Ind.
For more information, or to request an Angel Tag be sent to you via mail, please call (812) 478-7700.
