TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A local organization gets a major boost to help fight against hunger in the Wabash Valley.

The Joseph A Bray Marine Corp League 471 of Terre Haute presented Catholic Charities with a check for $35,000.

They presented the check today at the Marine Corp League.

They've given $90,000 over the last six months to organizations.

The group says they enjoy helping organizations that benefit kids.

"It feels fantastic yes it does to help you know kids and stuff. We've got to take care of the kids. If we don't do it, who's going to do it, and that's why we're here,” Henry Shattuck, of the Marine Corp League said.

The Marine Corp League plans on making more donations in the future.
