VERMILLION, COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - A fire at a pole barn causes too much damage for officials to find the cause of the blaze.
Just before 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, fire trucks from multiple departments responded to a pole barn fire at 879 E. 1100 South in Vermillion County, Ind.
Chemicals stored inside the barn made the blaze more dangerous for firefighters.
Vermillion County dispatch said the barn contained highly flammable farm implements, like gasoline and fertilizer.
The barn was completely destroyed.
There were no injuries.
Officials are ruling the fire accidental.
They say any danger posed by the chemicals in the area has passed.
