GREENUP, Ill. (WTHI) - This week arrests were made in a string of arsons in Illinois going back almost two years.
Earlier this month, News 10 told you how the town of Greenup, Illinois had been dealing with a string arsons dating back to last summer that destroyed 17 homes.
Tuesday, Illinois State Police arrested two men in connection with those fires and others in the county.
Levi Barnes of Greenup and Paul McCormick of nearby Toledo, Illinois are being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center.
According to an online firefighter directory Barnes, is a member of the Greenup volunteer fire department.
