TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - With the possibility of a vote on healthcare reform later this week, campaigning is going on in the Wabash Valley both on the ground and in the air.

On one side of the issue, an anti-abortion group called the Center for Bio-Ethical Reform is driving a truck around Terre Haute. The truck has some graphic pictures of aborted fetuses along the sides and back of the truck.

"We're here today to encourage the residents of Terre Haute or his district to call Congressman Ellsworth and say 'Good job, stick to your guns'," said Center for Bio-Ethical Reform Regional Director Bill Calvin. "We don't want little babies to die, violently, as the images on the trucks portray so eloquently."

By the end of the week, there may be as many as three trucks in Ellsworth's district, which includes both Evansville and Terre Haute. The group is also using airplanes with banners to get their message out.

The group has targeted eight districts across the country, including Ellsworth and Congressman Baron Hill.

Congressman Ellsworth released a statement to News 10 Tuesday afternoon.

He says, "As I have said from the very beginning, I will not support a bill if I believe it would result in federal funding for abortions. I am looking carefully at the current language in the bill to ensure it meets my pro-life principles, and I will continue to work to ensure pro-life concerns are addressed."

Meanwhile, Governor Daniels has sent a letter to Indiana members of Congress to urge them to reject the bill.
