TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - The US Marine Corp started their day collecting for the annual Toys for Tots Event.

The toys collected will go to local kids in need, so that they can have a happy holiday season.

Organizers who participate say this event is something they look forward to each and every year.

“All the toys that are collected and donated will stay within the Wabash community, so that gives you an opportunity to give back to your community as well and make sure you are taking care of your community,” Staff Sgt. James Lunsford, from the Marines said.

There’s still time for you to donate to Toys for Tots.

There will be collection bins starting Friday at the Terre Haute Toys R’ Us store.
