Ambulance carrying patient caught fire

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - An ambulance carrying a patient caught fire Monday morning after a head-on collision.

Lafayette police tell NewsChannel 18 the ambulance was traveling southbound on 26th Street when it collided head-on with an SUV.

The ambulance was transporting a patient, but police tell us everyone, including the patient, escaped the accident with no injuries.
