TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - With clear skies and Super Bowl 46 just about 60 miles east, the Terre Haute International Airport saw some extra traffic Sunday.
Fifteen planes flew into the airport for Sunday's big game.
One of them was filled with more than 40 fans heading to Indianapolis.
Of course, they landed early Sunday afternoon to make it just in time for kick off.
"We're getting ready to get an in flex of them right now. Indy is booked, so we're expecting at least 15 exec jets to come in," Hoosier Aviation Owner Nicole Brown said.
Planes will fly out of Terre Haute into the early morning hours.
Overall, the city of Terre Haute saw little visitors staying for the Super Bowl.
The NFL even released the 250 rooms they had originally blocked.
