TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - The January 12 earthquake in Haiti left more than 300,000 dead and many more without food or housing.
It's estimated that more than 1.5 million survivors still live in tent cities and camps around the devastated capital of Port-au-Prince.
One local volunteer said many Haitians are still in need of shelter and other help as hurricane season nears.
"I can't see how even all the rubble has been pulled away, without even taking a count of all the human lives that have been changed," volunteer Karen Henderson said.
