Accused arsonist charged

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - The man accused of setting a house on fire with his own children inside appears in court.

Joseph Wagle was charged Monday with three felonies and a misdemeanor.

Police said Wagle set three homes on fire.

One of those homes had his two children and his ex girlfriend's grandparents inside.

Police said Wagle also set a car on fire, the heat was so strong it damaged neighboring homes.

Wagle is facing numerous arson charges, including arson resulting in bodily injury.

He's expected back in court Tuesday.
