A Martin County, Indiana man killed by a rare parasite.
Now authorities are trying to find out more about the brain eating amoeba.
An autopsy report says 30-year-old Waylon Abel of Loogootee died of a rare infection known as Primary Amebic Meningo-Encephalitis.
He died after a family outing at West Noggs Lake.
That's just north of Loogootee.
The beach at that lake was ordered closed on Friday.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says there are only three confirmed cases of this disease this year nationwide.
