TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Rondha Youngs of Terre Haute has been making afghans for wounded soldiers for about a year naming her project "Afghans for Soldiers."
This week she shipped out 35 afghans that will go to soldiers through a program called "Wounded Warriors."
Although it's taken her months to crochet these blankets, she said it's nothing compared to what these brave men and woman do every day.
"It's just amazing to see that someone would put there life on the line for all of us, so I want to be able to thank them," said Youngs.
Youngs said with more organizations contacting her to make afghans for the soldiers, she's in desperate need of yarn and other crocheting supplies.
She also said any monetary help would be appreciated to help with shipping these afghans across the country.
If you'd like to help Youngs, you can get her contact information by clicking here.
